Vale of Clwyd MP Dr James Davies has praised a butchers in his constituency which has been selected as a Welsh finalist in ‘The Rural Oscars’.
James visited Daniel Morris Butchers of Vale Street in Denbigh last week to congratulate them on being shortlisted in the Regional Butcher category of the 2020 Countryside Alliance Awards.
Operating across the United Kingdom, the Awards, dubbed ‘The Rural Oscars’, are the leading rural business awards to win, celebrating the very best of rural produce and community.
James said:
“It really is quite an achievement to be shortlisted in these very prestigious awards, so I was absolutely delighted to hear of a business in my constituency being selected.
“On visiting the butchers last week and sampling some of their delicious produce, I can fully understand why they have been selected.
“Daniel took over the business from J Williams Butchers and since that time has won a string of awards and really boosted turnover. It was obvious from my visit that he really pays attention to what the customer wants and since opening has introduced an array of new products which have proved popular.
“I congratulate Daniel on being shortlisted and wish him the very best of luck both with the awards and with his business moving forward.”
The winners will be announced on Tuesday May 5th in Cardiff.
