A new bar, which is already proving popular since the easing of restrictions for outdoor hospitality, was officially opened by Vale of Clwyd MP Dr James Davies last week.
The Centenary Bar is situated at St Melyd Golf Club and James attended on Monday, April 26th, the day outdoor hospitality was able to reopen in Wales, to conduct the official opening.
Speaking afterwards he said:
“I was honoured to be asked to officially open the Centenary Bar, which promises to be a great venue for not only members of the golf club, but also the wider local community.
“The past 12 months have been particularly challenging for the hospitality industry and it has been great to see the sector reopening this week, and new business ventures emerging.
“The bar is impressive and is in a fantastic location. I am sure all customers will enjoy their time there.
“I wish the Centenary Bar the best of luck and encourage people to support them, and other local hospitality venues, as we come out of lockdown and return to more normal times.”
Peter Storey, The Club Captain said:
“The Centenary Hut not only represents the exciting reopening of the outside hospitality provided by our catering partners Offas Paddock, it initiates the start of the club’s preparations for next year when we will be celebrating our Centenary year,”
