Vale of Clwyd MP Dr James Davies recently cut the ribbon at the official opening of a state-of-the-art air source heat pump showroom in Dyserth.
The Sustainable Home Centre has been launched by Thorncliffe Building Supplies, one of the largest independent builders’ merchants in North Wales and the North West of England, which has a branch in Dyserth, together with world-leading heat pump manufacturer, Daikin.
The Sustainable Home Centres at Thorncliffe's Dyserth branch, and their Ewloe branch, provide customers who are thinking of switching over from natural gas, LPG and oil fired heating systems to an Air Source Heat Pump heating system with an opportunity to see, touch, feel and hear the heat pumps actually working before they make the decision to switch to a more environmentally friendly heating system.
James said:
"It was a great pleasure to open the new showroom in Dyserth which is the first of its kind in the region, representing a bold move in the push to achieve net zero.
"I very much commend Thorncliffe for leading on this agenda and helping their customers reduce their carbon footprint, as well as their energy bills. The company also supplies PV Solar Panels, Battery Storage Systems and Biomass Boilers."
Thorncliffe customers can have their queries answered by the company's dedicated and professional Air Source Heat Pump Team at the new centre who can also help customers with finding an approved installer.
Tim Harper, Managing Director at Thorncliffe Building Supplies, said:
“This is a big milestone for us – and it’s just the beginning of our exciting next chapter.
“We’re already planning to open a second showroom at our Ewloe branch, such is the demand for renewable heating solutions in the region. We’ve always had great relationships with local tradespeople, and with our new training facility, we can help them capitalise on this demand as well."
