There are BT Group telephone exchanges in Bodfari, Denbigh, Dyserth, Llandyrnog, Prestatyn, Rhuddlan, Rhyl, St Asaph and Trefnant.
Many are in prominent positions and in a dilapidated condition. The land around the site on Wellington Road in Rhyl has long been poor in terms of maintenance, while the fabric of the building on Ffordd Pendyffryn in Prestatyn is particularly bad.
All of the sites would benefit from repainting of doors, windows and fascia boards and there are also a number of rusty gates which need attention.
Some months ago, I toured each of the sites to present to BT (see link to PDF), and I am awaiting a meeting with the company shortly. They have advised me they will look to carry out improvements as a result.
