I thank the hon. Lady for that question. She is right that academic institutions have been reliant on EU structural funding in the past.

Wales voted to leave the EU quite decisively. The right hon.

I thank the hon. Member for raising his concerns about the shared prosperity fund.

I take that point on very much board and thank my right hon. Friend for all his efforts in that regard.

The right hon. Member makes a good point. Clearly, the Welsh Affairs Committee has considered these issues in detail.
